The boot and the meaning of life

Absolutely brilliant concept album. Catholicism, Irish tradition, history and culture. The themes of the songs often carry the pains and the triumphs of Irish history from the celebrated battle of Clontarf extolled in ‘Pláit agus Domhnaill’, through the Catholic persecutions of the 16th and 17th centuries, the overall suppression and poverty of the indigenous people in the 18th and 19th centuries, the Famine and then into the 20th century and the fight for freedom of Home Rule. If you love Ireland, and love Catholicism, and only buy one album during the whole of this year …… make it this one! The complete presentation which includes the CD and wonderful 116 page book costs €20 with postage nationally at €6. Fr. Michael Crowdy, RIP

Today is the anniversary of the death of Fr. Michael Crowdy, a founding trustee of The Saint George Educational Trust and a proper old school priest. Taken from this vale of tears at 3.00pm on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, 2006.

May he rest in peace. Pray and intercede for us, dear Father.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Urban meltdown

France is in serious melt-down. There are famous prophecies approved by the Church which speak of very serious civil strife everywhere. Anarchy reigns before God intervenes directly in human affairs and causes a great worldwide chastisement leading to the re-establishment of Christendom and a period of peace. It is said that Paris, Marseille and London will drown in their own blood. Or perhaps, as many others think, a New World Order will be imposed from the chaos and we will find ourselves coming under the reign of the Antichrist.

Either way, Catholics must get back to the land and dig in. Urban areas will become a hellish environment where Catholics definitely won’t survive. Protect your children and flee the towns and cities.

A lesson in lethargy

8 years ago SGET proposed that Catholics needed to prepare for hard times to come. Safety nets needed to be put in place for a time of serious crisis which would surely arise. We proposed that an association be set-up and its members make every effort to put aside at least £25 each month and donate it to SGET. In turn, SGET would award the money plus the Gift Aid tax rebates as grants to the association.

The proposal fell on deaf ears. Or it was subject to scorn and hostility.

BUT, if just 100 people and families had taken part there would now be a minimum of £300,000 in the kitty. What could be done if that £300,000 was available right now? Think about that.

Join the Friends of St. George

Every year The Saint George Educational Trust, a social endeavour registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales, raises thousands of pounds to award in grant money to Catholic social and cultural projects. Can you help us raise even more this year to help rebuild Christendom and plant the seeds of conversion for thousands of socially-bewildered and spiritually-blinded souls who are desperately looking for answers?

Polish culture wars

In the Polish presidential elections held on 28th June nearly a million-and-a-half people voted for the candidate representing what could be described as the traditionally-Catholic platform. The candidate, Krzysztof Bosak, received the support of a quarter of the youngest voting demographic, the 18-25 year old age group.

Should this quarter of the young Polish population act upon their apparent beliefs and raise large families with solid moral foundations, then they hold the future of Poland in their own hands. Their opponents will continue to promote the sterile culture of death which can only result in them contracepting, aborting and sodomising their future support base out of existence.

Raising large families and providing them with a solid moral formation is the cornerstone of Christian restoration and national regeneration.

Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

(1) “I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.

(2) I will establish peace in their homes.

(3) I will comfort them in all their afflictions.

(4) I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death.

(5) I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.

(6) Sinners will find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.

(7) Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.

(8) Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

(9) I will bless every place in which an image of my Heart is exposed and honoured.

10) I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

(11) Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart.

(12) I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.”
